What it does
UniMagic is a Rob Papen thickener meant to "thicken up your vocals or instruments" with minimal controls. It works as a hidden multi-effect: each preset is a predefined chain, and the developer suggests you simply try the presets rather than worry about what is inside.
- Preset types: 50 presets for vocal and instrument processing, each a different thickening treatment.
- Amount: sets how strong the effect is.
- Ribbon controller: a slider that changes a predefined range of parameters inside the chosen preset, for fine adjustment or live movement.
- Spring-back: returns the ribbon on a tempo-synced timing with selectable time divisions, for rhythmic automation.
- Feedback and control: an animated display that responds to the audio and effect, MIDI control, and 100 to 200% interface sizes.
The current version is 1.0.0. A demo is available.

When to use it
UniMagic is the better pick when you want a vocal or instrument part to sound wider and thicker in seconds, without choosing chorus or detune settings yourself. It is closest to Magic Switch in approach, a near one-knob effect, but it offers 50 preset treatments and a ribbon with tempo-synced spring-back for movement. Compared with TriceraChorus or Chorus JUN-6, it gives far less direct control and does not model a classic chorus circuit, so it suits speed over a specific vintage sound. Against Choric it is equally cheap, but you work by presets rather than by shaping one chorus.
- Best for: quickly thickening lead and backing vocals, guitars and synths, with optional rhythmic movement from the ribbon.
- Genres: pop, electronic and any style that needs fuller parts.
- Look elsewhere if: you want classic chorus character with full control; TriceraChorus is better.
