What it does
Spire is Reveal Sound's polyphonic synth, a hybrid of analog-style and digital synthesis built for big leads, pads and plucks.
- Oscillators: four multimode "polymorphing" oscillators with Classic, Noise, FM, AMSync, SawPWM, HardFM and Vowel modes.
- Unison: up to nine voices per oscillator for supersaw and hypersaw-style sounds, with chord and octave spreading.
- Filters: two multimode filters with analog and digital types: Perfecto, Infecto, Acido, Scorpio, Combo and Shaper.
- Modulation: four macros, four envelopes, four morphing LFOs, 15 matrix slots, two step sequencers and an arpeggiator.
- Effects: phaser, chorus, flanger, delay, reverb, a multiband compressor and a 3-band EQ.
Over 1,000 factory presets. The current version is 1.5.22, and it's often discounted.

When to use it
Spire sits between Sylenth1 and Serum 2. It's built for the same festival and trance sounds as Sylenth1, but with more oscillator modes, a bigger mod matrix and a rich unison engine. It has no wavetable editor, sample oscillators or layers, and its interface is showing its age next to Serum 2 or Hive 2.
- Best for: festival leads, supersaws, plucks and preset-driven production.
- Genres: EDM, trance, big room, progressive and future house.
- Look elsewhere if: you want deep sound design (Serum 2, Phase Plant) or a modern interface.
What producers say
Liked for its sound and presets, less so for its interface.
- MusicRadar (Computer Music, 2013) called it an impressive debut with "ridiculously powerful" oscillators and a superb mod matrix, but found the menus awkward.
- KVR users (4.4/5 from 15 reviews) praise the sound quality, hit-ready presets and helpful support; a 2026 reviewer welcomed a new AI preset feature.
- Gripes: a dated interface, no sample oscillators or layers, a 16-step arpeggiator limit, and heavier CPU than some rivals.
