What it does
Fusia is Puremagnetik's spectral pitch-and-echo multi-tool, built to make sounds that "shimmer and reflect, freeze and distort, delay and scatter." Everything happens in the spectral domain, and the developer pitches it for embellishments layered on top of existing audio.
- Spectral pitch shift: continuous shifting from one octave down to one octave up, for octave layers or detuned shimmer.
- Distortion: musical waveshaping that can run into the pitch-shifted signal.
- Spectral freeze: holds the current spectrum as a sustained tone, for frozen distortion drones.
- Delay line: an echo stage that turns the shifted signal into pitch-shifted delays.
- Routing and modulation: crossfades between routings and modulation settings, so the order and blend of effects can be changed smoothly.
- Random re-pitching: a random function that re-pitches the sound for chaotic, scattered results.
- Presets: a factory preset collection to start from.
Fusia is also sold in the Spectral Suite bundle. The product page does not mention a demo.

When to use it
Fusia is a creative pitch effect for texture, not a tool for correcting or transposing parts. Compared with Soundtoys Crystallizer, it covers similar shimmering pitch-echo ground but adds spectral freeze and waveshaping distortion, at a lower price. Unlike Little AlterBoy or Graillon 3, it has no formant control or vocal-focused tracking, so it will not give you a clean pitched or robot vocal. Next to Auto-Tune Pro 11 or Melodyne 5 it is in a different job entirely: it smears and scatters pitch rather than fixing it. Its range is also narrow, one octave either way, so it suits layers and embellishments more than extreme shifts.
- Best for: subtle pitch-shifted delays, octave layers, frozen distortion drones and randomised re-pitching for sound design.
- Genres: ambient, cinematic, experimental and electronic music.
- Look elsewhere if: you need clean transposition or vocal pitch effects; Little AlterBoy or Graillon 3 are built for that.
