P21 Atlas by Pulsar Modular

P21 Atlas is a master bus limiter that redistributes energy to keep a mix coherent and loud without flattening its peaks.

It has seven controls, level-matched A/B, full loudness metering and immersive support up to 9.1.6, for $225 (Stereo) or $375 (Immersive).

Best for: Mastering, Mix Bus, Drum Bus. Genres: all genres.

Keywords: bus processing, mastering, mix bus, metering, A/B compare, auto-gain, spacious, full mix, bass, drum bus, drums, electric guitar, look-ahead, mixing, single-band, true-peak, vocals.

What it does

P21 Atlas is an original limiter design, not a hardware emulation. Pulsar Modular calls it a "master-bus stabilization limiter, not a peak-catcher": it aims for loudness while keeping transient timing, micro-dynamics and stereo placement intact, and without lifting quiet passages between phrases.

Version 1.1.1 (July 2026). Atlas Stereo covers mono and stereo; Atlas Immersive covers every format up to 9.1.6. A Stereo licence passes multichannel audio through unprocessed. The 30-day trial includes the full Immersive engine.

When to use it

P21 Atlas suits engineers who want a master bus held steady and loud without the flattened, pumping feel of hard limiting. Compared with Pro-L 2 it has no choice of limiting styles, but its controls are built around stabilising the whole program rather than catching peaks, and its latency stays at 3 samples whatever the settings. Unlike Elevate it does not split the signal into many bands, so it is simpler to set. Like Pro-L 2 it handles immersive formats up to 9.1.6, and it has its own LUFS, LRA and PLR metering built in. It costs far more than TDR Limiter 6 GE or L2, especially the Immersive edition.
