A vintage-style multiband compressor built from PSP's oldTimer design, for track processing, bus compression and mastering.
Each band has an adjustable valve emulation stage and its own stereo spread control, so it colors as well as controls.

What it does
oldTimerMB is a "vintage-style multi-band compressor designed for demanding track processing, buss / mix compression, and mastering." It splits the signal into bands and runs each through PSP's oldTimer-style compressor, in effect three oldTimers in one plugin.
- Multiband oldTimer: vintage-style compression per band, with crossovers that shape the sound as well as split it.
- Valve stage: a switchable, adjustable valve emulation stage for warmth and saturation.
- Stereo spread: per-band stereo spread control for widening or narrowing parts of the spectrum.
- Adjustable slopes: crossover filter slope is adjustable to suit gentle or more separated band splits.

When to use it
oldTimerMB is the pick when you want a vintage, colored compressor that can also work per band, unlike clean, precise multiband tools such as FabFilter Pro-MB and Waves C4. It is similar in spirit to Analog Obsession KolinMB, which is free.
- Best for: drum bus, electric guitars, mix bus glue and taming a troublesome frequency range while adding warmth.
- Genres: general-purpose; well suited to rock, indie, pop and acoustic productions.
- Look elsewhere if: you need external sidechain input or surgical, transparent multiband control; Pro-MB covers those.
- Standout: a valve-colored vintage compressor per band with per-band stereo spread.
