What it does

COMP.TWO is Process.Audio's model of the Rockruepel COMP.TWO, a German all-tube vari-mu compressor designed by Oliver Gregor as a faster, higher-headroom follow-up to his COMP ONE. The developer calls it "ideal for adding glue to your mix", and says the envelope can run "as fast as an 1176 or as slow as a Fairchild."

The current version is 1.0.3 (September 2026). It was on sale when checked and has a 30-day free trial.

When to use it

COMP.TWO is a good pick for smooth tube glue that can still move faster than most vari-mu designs. Compared with The Glue and the SSL G-Master Buss Compressor, it gives a softer, program-dependent grip with tube colour instead of a punchy VCA sound. MJUC covers several vari-mu flavours in one plugin, while COMP.TWO models one modern unit with fuller stereo options: per-channel controls, dual mono and mid/side. Unlike the Teletronix LA-2A Leveler Collection, it gives you proper attack, release and threshold controls rather than a two-knob workflow.

What producers say

The one plugin review we read was very positive about its sound and ease of use and named no real drawbacks.
