What it does
Ripple is Process.Audio's creative delay, built for "seamless and intuitive delay effect design". Its Sandwave display shows the repeats as a moving wave, and its effects rack can sit inside the feedback loop to shape each repeat.
- Five delay types: Digital, Tape, Lofi, Disk and Pedal, each inspired by classic delay hardware, with a Drive control for saturation.
- Two modes: Feedback for classic repeats, or Repeat for programming custom echo patterns.
- Stereo tools: Dual mode runs two independent delay lines, Spread modulates the left and right times separately, plus ping-pong and a Groove control that shifts the timing feel.
- FX rack: a 500-series-style drag-and-drop rack with filters, 70s-style flanger and phaser, chorus, a reverb with Room, Plate, Hall and Spring modes, a gritty pitch shifter, a tilt-and-bell EQ and an 80s-style ensemble; the Loop feature places send-side effects in the feedback path.
- Gate and duck: on both the send and the return lines, to keep repeats out of the way of the dry signal.
- Modulation: two LFOs that can be assigned to almost any parameter.
- Performance tools: Kill stops input to the delay, Throw sends only chosen moments, and Anti-Doppler stops pitch shifts when delay time changes; over 100 presets.
The current version is 1.0.5 (October 2026). It was on sale when checked and has a 30-day free trial.

When to use it
Ripple is the better pick when you want to process the repeats themselves: its rack puts filters, modulation and reverb inside the feedback loop, with gating and ducking on both send and return. Compared with EchoBoy, it has fewer detailed emulations of specific echo units but a more flexible effects chain. It goes further into sound design than Comeback Kid, which focuses on character, and it is less deep in modulation routing than Timeless 3, though its two LFOs cover most movement. Very short delay times also let it work as a resonator.
- Best for: vocal throws, ducked delays, textured repeats on synths and guitars, and resonator-style sound design.
- Genres: pop, electronic, hip-hop and ambient in particular.
- Look elsewhere if: you want detailed emulations of specific vintage echo units (EchoBoy) or deep modulation routing (Timeless 3).
- Tip: keep the effects inside the loop subtle; heavy processing there stops the feedback from building up.
What producers say
Coverage is still thin; Polarity Music's write-up recommends it strongly as a sound-design tool.
- Polarity Music praised being able to put effects inside the feedback loop and delay times down to about 1 ms, independent of the DAW's buffer size, for resonator effects.
- Criticisms: too much processing in the loop prevents feedback from building.
