Filterverse by Polyverse

A multi-filter plugin with three filter slots that can run in series, in parallel or a mix of both, chosen from over 30 filter types ranging from classic low-pass and band-pass designs to experimental ones such as a barber-pole frequency shifter and a granular delay.

Eight modulation sources (LFO/sequencer, ADSR, envelope follower, random, pitch detector, MIDI/CV, an audio-rate oscillator and a Meta Knob) can modulate the filters and each other. It is used for rhythmic filter movement, sound design and reshaping synths, drums, vocals and guitars.

Best for: Sound Design, Keys & Synths, Drums, Vocals, Guitars. Genres: Electronic & EDM, Ambient & Cinematic, Hip-Hop & Trap, Pop.

Keywords: drums, vocals, electric guitar, experimental, sound design, synths, classic, granular, modulation matrix, parallel processing, rhythmic, creative, heavy, steep learning curve, chorus, cinematic, deep, evolving, mid/side, mixing, modular, randomize, samples & loops.

What it does

Filterverse is Polyverse's modular multi-filter: three filter slots, a large library of filter types and a deep modulation system in one plugin.

When to use it

Filterverse is the most open-ended of the rated filters. Where Volcano 3 gives you four precise filters with clear, visual modulation and FilterFreak is about analog-style resonance and rhythm with few controls, Filterverse goes further into sound design, with unusual filter types, pitch-tracking and MIDI-keyed modulation.

What producers say

Reviews are very positive, with the learning curve as the main caveat.
