What it does
DualClip is "Loudness with Colour": a 16-band soft clipper and a single-band hard clipper in one unit. It is the Core Collection remake of Soundspot's Nevo.
- Soft clipper: analog-style saturation with Drive, a Curve control that focuses the effect on low or high frequencies, and Smooth to lengthen the release; tape and tube-style drive options.
- Hard clipper: Crush sets a heavier, bitcrusher-like distortion, Breach preserves transients, and Soften takes the edge off.
- Colour and transients: Warm, Clean and Bright colouring modes, plus transient emphasis for low, mid or high frequencies.
- Limiter and metering: a brick wall limiter at the end of the chain, with real-time waveform and gain reduction displays; 75 presets.

When to use it
DualClip leans toward coloured clipping, with two different clipping stages plus tone and transient shaping in one window, where KClip 3, StandardCLIP and Gold Clip aim more at clean, transparent loudness. It is also more involved than Venn Audio's Free Clip 2, a simple free option. Pick it when you want the clipper to add character as well as level.
- Best for: drum bus and 808 saturation, adding harmonics to bass, and colourful loudness on a mix.
- Genres: general purpose, especially hip-hop, trap and electronic music.
- Look elsewhere if: you need fully transparent mastering clipping; users find it better for creative processing, and KClip 3 or StandardCLIP suit that job.
- Standout: the Curve control on the multiband soft clipper, which moves saturation toward the lows or highs without an extra EQ.
