What it does
THE_GAIN 2 is a volume shaper: you draw a gain curve and choose how it is triggered.
- Drawing: freehand envelopes with a real-time waveform display.
- Triggers: 5 modes, including kick detection, MIDI, step sequencer and loop.
- Slots and steps: 6 storable envelope slots that can be sequenced, and a step sequencer of up to 64 steps.
- Other: separate processing of bass, mids and highs, and predictive de-clicking.

When to use it
The same idea as Cableguys VolumeShaper or LFO Tool: ducking, sidechain-style pumping and rhythmic gating without routing a compressor. Its kick-detection trigger makes it handy for EDM and house pumping.
