What it does
THE_BITE is a three-band distortion and saturation plugin with an EQ-style interface.
- Push or pull: raise a band to add saturation and distortion, lower it to filter that range.
- Gain compensation: a gain-adjustment algorithm keeps the output volume steady, with a Gain Target option for automatic levelling.
- Extras: Bass Mode for sub-bass, Mid/Side processing and oversampling.

When to use it
A simple way to add grit to one part of the spectrum, such as the mids of a bass or the top of a drum bus, without level jumps. It has far fewer controls than multiband distortions like Saturn 2, so it is aimed at quick, by-ear work.
