Jotter is "a brand new utility plug-in for making notes and comments, designed with collaboration in mind." You insert it anywhere in a project and add annotations locked to the timecode.
- Timecode notes: annotations tied to positions on the timeline, plus general notes for the whole project.
- Free standalone app: the plugin is paid, but the standalone version is free, so clients, bandmates and colleagues can add timestamped notes without owning it.

When to use it
Jotter is for keeping mix feedback in the session instead of scattered across emails and messages. It has no direct equivalent on the site: unlike ADPTR Audio Metric AB and Mastering The Mix REFERENCE 3, which help you compare your mix with references, it handles notes.
- Best for: mix and mastering engineers working with remote clients, post teams passing notes between editors and mixers, and bands reviewing demos.
- Genres: any; it does not touch the audio.
- Look elsewhere if: you already manage feedback in a review platform or your DAW's own marker and note tools are enough.
- Standout: the free standalone app, which lets clients leave timecoded notes without owning the plugin or a DAW.
