Keywords: tube, vintage, vocals, full mix, simple, warm, aggressive, analog-sounding, beginner-friendly, bus processing, corrective, CPU-light, drums, heavy, mastering, minimal controls, mix bus, mixing, musical, single knob, smooth, wide.

What it does

The GEQ12 is a 12-band graphic EQ in Nomad Factory's Blue Tubes series, which KVR describes as an "Original Vintage Style 12 Band Equalizer". It is meant for both corrective work and musical tone shaping, and as a companion to a parametric EQ.

Released on 2 March 2026. The developer lists no demo, and KVR had it on sale at the time of writing. The developer does not publish the band frequencies or the Q range.

When to use it

The GEQ12 suits people who like the speed of a slider-style graphic EQ and want some color and a safety limiter built in. Compared with FabFilter Pro-Q 4 or TDR Nova it gives up free band placement, dynamic bands and a spectrum analyzer, but setting twelve sliders is faster than placing nodes. Unlike Waves' GEQ Graphic Equalizer, it has no choice of band count or filter types, only one global Q. It also adds color where Voxengo's free Marvel GEQ stays clean and linear-phase.

What producers say

There are no reviews of the 2026 release yet; the older Blue Tubes GEQ-12 was seen as warm and easy but not precise.
