What it does

All-Tec EQs is Nomad Factory's emulation of the Altec passive equalizers of the 1950s, three classic modules plus a master section that adds tube and transformer color. Version 2 rebuilt the DSP engine and added a resizable interface with two skins and the new 9067 filter module.

Version 2 was released on 27 October 2025. It is often discounted on promotion. The product page does not mention a demo.

When to use it

All-Tec EQs is the pick when you want the broad, gentle curves of the Altec units rather than the Pultec sound. Compared with Universal Audio's Pultec Passive EQ Collection or Waves PuigTec EQs, it offers a seven-band graphic module and steep 18 dB/octave filters, so it can do a little more corrective trimming while still adding color. Unlike Pro-Q 4 or TDR Nova, it has no parametric bands, dynamic EQ or analyzer, so it is a tone shaper rather than a surgical tool. It is also far cheaper than most vintage EQ emulations when it is on promotion.
