What it does
Sinc Vereor is the simplest synth in Noise Engineering's plugin range and a free way to try its sound. It is loosely based on the developer's Eurorack module Sinc Iter, and pairs one oscillator voice with the Vereor dynamics section used across their synths.
- Tone control: wavemorphing and wavefolding that blends between saw, triangle and square, then folds them for brighter tones.
- Super mode: stacks six phase-offset oscillators for wide, supersaw-style sounds.
- Noise mode: generates self-similar noise for percussion and effects.
- Vereor dynamics: an ADSR envelope driving a variable-slope, analog-inspired multimode gate/filter.
- Chorus: a vintage-inspired chorus on the output.
- Modulation and MIDI: LFOs and macros, MIDI learn on all parameters, velocity and polyphonic aftertouch, and MPE support listed on KVR.
- Presets: more than 1,000, plus a random patch button.
It is free as part of Noise Engineering's Freequel bundle, with Virt Vereor and the Ruina distortion. Updates are free for the life of the product.

When to use it
Sinc Vereor is the better pick when you want a quick, characterful voice rather than a deep sound-design workstation. Compared with Vital, another free synth, it is far simpler, with one oscillator and no wavetables, but its folded tone and the six-voice Super mode get to a usable lead or bass in seconds. Against Serum 2 or u-he Hive 2 it has a fraction of the modulation and effects, and it costs nothing. It is also a free test of Noise Engineering's plugin sound before buying Cursus Vereor or Loquelic Vereor.
- Best for: quick leads, basses, supersaw-style stacks and noisy percussion hits.
- Genres: electronic, techno and experimental.
- Look elsewhere if: you want a full-featured free synth; Vital offers far more modulation and wavetables.
