What it does
Loquelic Vereor is a plugin version of Noise Engineering's Loquelic Iteritas Eurorack module: a complex oscillator synth meant to bridge "the sounds of modular and your DAW production." It is built for sound design, with an unusual set of synthesis methods.
- Algorithms: three classic methods, VOSIM, phase modulation and summation synthesis, across two cross-modulating oscillators with dual pitch control.
- Timbre controls: phase modulation, wavefolding, waveform morphing and oscillator sync.
- Gate: an analog-inspired resonant multimode gate for subtractive shaping.
- Envelopes: a four-stage ADSR or a two-stage Percido envelope.
- Modulation: LFOs, envelopes, step sequencers and random values with adjustable randomization, plus macros routable to most parameters.
- Performance: MPE compatible, with MIDI learn for most parameters and velocity and polyphonic aftertouch mapping.
- Extras: a vintage-inspired chorus, 1,000+ presets, a random patch generator and a customizable interface (colour and window size).
It comes with free lifetime updates, though old versions are not kept available. The page lists no demo of this plugin.

When to use it
Loquelic Vereor is the pick for vocal, formant-like and metallic tones that come from VOSIM and phase modulation. Subtractive synths such as Diva or Sylenth1 can't easily reach these sounds. Compared with Phase Plant or Pigments 7 it has a much narrower scope, but it is cheaper and faster to get something aggressive out of. Compared with Serum 2 or Vital, it trades wavetables and big preset ecosystems for a modular-style voice that sits well next to a main synth.
- Best for: vocal and formant-like tones, metallic leads, evolving textures and MPE performance.
- Genres: experimental electronic, techno, industrial and ambient sound design.
- Look elsewhere if: you want warm analog-style pads (Diva) or a full all-in-one synth (Serum 2 or Phase Plant).
