What it does
Driver is a distortion and filter effect from the creator of Massive.

- Distortion: ranges from light saturation to heavy destruction.
- Modulation: an envelope follower and audio modulation sources to move the sound with the input.
- Also: usable as a module in Reaktor Blocks.

When to use it
Driver is a sound-design tool rather than a subtle saturator: the filter and distortion interact, and the envelope follower lets the input drive the effect. It is closer to a creative filter than to Saturn 2 or Thermal in the distortion list.
- Best for: gritty basses, synths and drums where you want filtered distortion that responds to level.
- Genres: electronic, dubstep, industrial and experimental.
