What it does

- Shaping: five wavefolders (including a Buchla 259-inspired one) and a Buchla 292-based low pass gate.
- Modulation: dual envelopes, dual LFOs, sample-and-hold and an 8-step sequencer, with up to 1440 routings.
- Extras: EQ, chorus, delay, reverb and limiter, MPE support and over 1000 presets. Version 1.3.

When to use it
Generate is a sound-design synth: chaotic oscillators give unstable, shifting tones that a standard wavetable or virtual analog synth like Serum 2 or Vital does not produce as its starting point.
- Best for: evolving pads, drones, textures and gritty leads.
- Genres: ambient, experimental, cinematic and electronic.
- Look elsewhere if: you want predictable, classic bread-and-butter synth sounds.
