What it does
Archetype: Abasi is Neural DSP's signature suite developed with Tosin Abasi of Animals as Leaders, with three amps built around extended-range, articulate playing.
- Clean amp: a blend control mixes a traditional tube sound with a piezo-like voicing.
- Rhythm and Lead amps: the Rhythm is a high-gain amp described as dynamic and tight; the Lead adds a built-in booster for attack and sustain.
- Effects: Pathos lead channel and Logos compressor before the amp, plus a 9-band graphic EQ, reverb and digital delay.
- Cabinets: over 70 impulse responses captured by Adam "Nolly" Getgood.

When to use it
Pick it for clean-to-tight-high-gain tones with a piezo-flavoured clean channel, aimed at progressive, technical and extended-range guitar. It is the more compact of the artist suites, with three amps and a simple effects layout, compared with the multi-amp rigs in the Mayer or Petrucci plugins.
Genres: progressive metal, fusion and technical instrumental.
