What it does

BG Extasy is Nembrini Audio's model of the Bogner Ecstasy 101B, a three-channel boutique tube head that goes from clean to saturated lead. The developer calls it "Classy, Versatile and Ecstatic", built to breathe like a high-gain boutique amp.

Channel 1: its own gain, bass, middle, treble and volume, with a three-position pre-EQ switch and a gain boost.
Channels 2 and 3: separate gain and volume and a three-position pre-EQ each, sharing one set of bass, middle and treble controls, a common gain boost and a Plexi mode switch.
Presence: two assignable presence controls with excursion switches for a tight or loose response.
Cabinets and mics: six cabinet models and four microphone models, with on/off-axis choice and continuous position and distance controls.
Mixer and ambience: solo, mute, pan and fader per microphone, plus an ambience blend.
IR loader: three slots for third-party impulse responses, blended with the built-in cabinets.
Noise control: a noise gate and a cleaner circuit for taming unwanted frequencies.

When to use it

BG Extasy is a focused, low-cost way into one specific boutique sound: the smooth, dynamic Bogner drive. Compared with Archetype: Nolly X, it has no pedals, EQs or effects and only one amp, but it costs a fraction and its three channels with Plexi mode still cover clean, crunch and lead. Unlike AmpliTube 5 MAX or Helix Stadium Native, it won't build a whole rig, so you will add your own delay and reverb. Next to Nembrini's own BST100 V2 it is the more versatile and less purely high-gain amp, with a dedicated clean channel and more tone-shaping switches.

Best for: rhythm and lead guitar that wants a polished, boutique drive tone, and re-amping DI tracks.
Genres: rock, hard rock, blues rock, metal.
Look elsewhere if: you want built-in effects or many amp models; AmpliTube 5 MAX or Guitar Rig 7 Pro give a full rig.
Tip: Guitarbomb suggests starting from the presets and trying the built-in cabinets before loading your own IRs.

What producers say

The one full review found it an authentic and very playable Bogner model, strongest on driven tones.

Guitarbomb (Jef Stone, 2021) praised the three channels, dynamic feel, cabinet section, three-IR blending and presets, and said it is "right up there tonally" with far pricier gear.
Caveat: the same review noted that the clean tones are there but the plugin is slanted towards saturated drive.
