What it does

Bass Resonance models the Little Labs Voice Of God, a 500-series unit that adds a tunable low-frequency resonance. The developer pitches it as "deep, focused low-end resonance without mud."

The current version is 1.0.0. It is on sale, and a demo can be downloaded. The product page does not give the frequency range or resonance settings.

When to use it

Bass Resonance is the quicker tool when you want one job done: find the sweet spot of a kick or bass and make it bigger. Compared with Pro-Q 4 it gives up all surgical control, but its single sweepable resonance gets to a usable result faster. It does a similar job to the classic low-boost-and-cut trick on the Pultec Passive EQ Collection or PuigTec EQs, without the extra bands or the need to know the trick, and with a mix control to set how much is added.

What producers say

Bass Resonance is new and has no independent reviews yet; buyers on the developer's store are positive.
