What it does

SweetEQ is Musik Hack's saturating tone shaper: broad EQ moves combined with saturation and compression, with "zero fuss" instead of bands and graphs. The product page describes it as Low-End Juice, Broadband Punch and High-End Sparkle plus a bandpass; reviewers describe these controls on the interface:

It is also available rent-to-own over 12 months. A 10-day free demo is available.

When to use it

SweetEQ is the better pick for fast, coloured tone moves where you would otherwise stack an EQ, a saturator and a compressor. Compared with Pro-Q 4 it gives up precision entirely: there are no bands, Q settings or analyser, just four macro sliders. It is closer in spirit to a Pultec EQ in using broad, musical curves, but it adds saturation and compression, and it is more hands-on than bloom, which balances tone adaptively. Small moves go a long way, so it suits quick enhancement rather than corrective work.

What producers say

Reviewers were very positive, with no major criticisms beyond using it with restraint.
