Moog's software recreation of its Moogerfooger MF-103 analog phaser pedal, with a switchable 6- or 12-stage phaser and a wide-range LFO.
It has a strong, mid- and bass-heavy vintage character that suits synths, guitars and bass, and adds stereo modes and virtual CV inputs for modulation.

What it does
The MF-103S recreates Moog's Moogerfooger MF-103 analog phaser pedal: a 6-stage or 12-stage voltage-controlled phaser with a voltage-controlled, wide-range LFO.
- Stages: switch between 6 stages (more classic) and 12 stages (more complex and psychedelic).
- Virtual CV: inputs for LFO rate, LFO amount, resonance and phaser sweep, so instances can modulate each other.
- Stereo: stereo output modes and LFO configurations; Output Mode recreates the original's Main and Aux outputs, and the two six-stage sections can be modulated independently.
When to use it
Pick it for a thick, gritty analog phase with lots of midrange weight, especially on synths, organ and bass. For airy, subtle or high-frequency phasing, Instant Phaser Mk II or the rated PhaseMistress are more versatile.

- Sound On Sound (2023) found the sound very good with instant character, stronger and more bass- and mid-focused than other plugin phasers, but not suited to subtle, silky 'hi-fi' effects: "horses for courses".
