Amped Super Duper has two amp models: Super, for modern cleans to British crunch, and Duper, for modern high gain and sustaining leads.

It includes a basic four-pedal board and default IR cabinets, for €39.99 (about $45).

What it does

Amped Super Duper is one of ML Sound Lab's earlier, simpler Amped plugins, released in 2020. It models a British 50-watt, two-channel tube head, split into two amp models that cover clean to lead.

Super: "modern cleans to British crunch", with good pick response on clean settings.
Duper: "modern high gain to sustaining leads".
Amp controls: the usual gain, volume and EQ knobs, plus a few presets for each model.
Pedalboard: noise gate, drive, delay and reverb. It is smaller than the six-pedal board in the newer Amped plugins.
Cabinet section: hand-picked default cabs, your own IRs, or cab bypass so you can use an external cab sim such as MIKKO.
No tuner: unlike the newer Amped plugins, it has no built-in tuner and no 3D mic placement.

When to use it

Amped Super Duper is a cheap two-model plugin that goes from clean to lead with a modern British voice. Compared with Archetype: Nolly X or AmpliTube 5 MAX, it covers far less ground and has a basic pedalboard, but it costs much less and is quick to set up. Unlike the newer Amped plugins such as Amped ICON, it has no 3D cab mic placement or tuner, so it suits players who mostly use their own IRs or cab sim. Compared with Neural Amp Modeler, it is a ready-made amp with presets rather than a loader for captures.

Best for: everyday rock and metal parts where one plugin should cover clean, crunch and lead.
Genres: rock, hard rock and metal.
Look elsewhere if: you want 3D cab mic placement and the six-pedal board (the newer Amped plugins such as Amped Oracle) or many amps in one plugin (AmpliTube 5 MAX).
Tip: the reviewer at lostmortal.net preferred the Super model for high-gain tones too, so try pushing its gain before switching to Duper.

What producers say

There is little written about it in English; the one full review we found is very positive about its tone and value.

lostmortal.net review (Japanese) identified the source amp as the rare British boutique Dover Amps DA-50 and praised a "clear and dry" tone with a creamy, smooth midrange and good clean pick response.
Value: the same review called the cost performance excellent for the sound quality, and noted few rivals in this modern-British niche.
Criticisms: no real complaints; the reviewer simply preferred Super over Duper, even for high gain, and noted there is no tuner.
