What it does

The Milkman Creamer Collection is MixWave's model of the Milkman Sound 20-watt Creamer combo, made with Milkman Sound using component-level modeling and convolution. MixWave calls the amp "the ultimate refined alternative to the vintage small format amplifier."

A 14-day fully working trial is available. The Pop Top Boost and JHS Slap Boost are also sold separately.

When to use it

The Milkman Creamer Collection is one boutique small combo with its own tremolo, reverb and boosts, best for vintage-style clean and edge-of-breakup tones in a simple package. Compared with Paradise Guitar Studio it has a single amp instead of a range of amps and effects, but goes deeper into that one amp's speakers and mic placement. Unlike Archetype: Cory Wong X, which also targets clean tones but covers several amps and effects, it stays with one warm, vintage-voiced combo. Compared with Helix Stadium Native or AmpliTube 5 MAX it is far smaller in scope and cheaper, with no high-gain options.

What producers say

Users praise the clean and edge-of-breakup sounds, with mixed views on latency, licensing and price.
