What it does
Lucid is Minimal Audio's granular effect. It rebuilds audio grain by grain into harmonies, rhythms and textures that stay in time and locked to the song's key.
- Granular engine: real-time processing with scale-locked pitch detection and timeline sync.
- Sound shaping: harmonic grain delays, multi-mode filtering, stereo imaging and chord and arpeggio modes.
- Effects rack: an integrated rack with modulation controls.
- Content: over 350 presets in 13 packs.
- Version: 1.1.0.

When to use it
Lucid turns a sample, loop or vocal into pitched, in-key textures and stays in sync with the project. That makes it more musical than a free-running granular processor.
- Best for: pads, ambient beds, vocal textures and rhythmic granular effects.
- Genres: electronic, ambient, pop production and film sound design.
