What it does
ChannelStrip 3 is Metric Halo's all-in-one channel processor, the successor to ChannelStrip 2.
- Four processors: expander, compressor, fully parametric multi-band EQ and limiter, with EQ/compressor order switchable.
- Side-chains: each dynamics block has its own switchable, equalised side-chain with a listen control.
- Metering: built-in SpectraFoo spectrum analysis, scalable gain-reduction meters, phase invert and channel delay.
- Presets: 100+ presets and a cross-platform preset manager.

When to use it
A transparent, precise strip for engineers who want clean control and good metering rather than analogue colour. Well suited to vocal tracking and to mixes where you want many instances without harshness; for console character, look at the SSL or API strips instead.
