A leveler where you set a target loudness line and the plugin pulls the signal toward it from both sides, compressing above and expanding below, with Peak/RMS/K-weighted detection, an AI-assisted starting setup and a soft gate below a floor threshold.
Best for: Vocals, Acoustic Instruments, Bass. Genres: all genres.
Keywords: bass, vocals, AI/machine learning, drums, look-ahead, mixing, parallel processing, single-band.
What it does
Tether is an elastic leveler with a soft gate: set a target loudness line and the signal is pulled toward it from both sides.
- Pull: eases signal down above the line and lifts it below, with independent low and high strength.
- Detection: Peak, RMS or K-Weight, with Allround, Drums, Bass and Vocals source modes.
- AI Assist: one-shot generation of a starting setup.
- Extras: soft gate with floor threshold, 10 ms lookahead and parallel mix; 7-day trial.

When to use it
A more visual, hands-off approach to levelling than a classic compressor. It suits vocals, bass or drums where you want even level and a quiet floor, but not the character of vintage compression.
