What it does
Scepter is an analysis and referencing plugin with six views.
- Spectrum and Reference: spectrum analyser with mid/side imaging, and matching of frequency balance, stereo image and dynamics against reference tracks.
- Bass and Loudness: tempo-synced bass monitoring below 250 Hz with phase checking, and loudness metering with genre-specific LUFS targets.
- Oscilloscope and Imager: waveform display with sidechain comparison, and a polar vectorscope for mono compatibility.
- Extras: sidechain support; 7-day trial.

When to use it
Handy at the end of a mix or master chain for checking your track against references and loudness targets without loading several meters. It analyses rather than processes audio.
