What it does
MTurboEQ brings 12 vintage-style equalizers inspired by classic hardware into one plugin. MeldaProduction's idea is "access to so many classic equalizers in a single click", with the same standard controls on every model.
- 12 EQ models: vintage-style designs inspired by classic hardware units, switchable with one click.
- Shared band layout: low and high shelves, 4 peak filters, and high-pass and low-pass filters on every model.
- Stepped mode: a limited set of fixed values, like hardware switches, for quicker decisions.
- Continuous mode: full access to every frequency for fine-tuning beyond what the hardware allowed.
- Saturation and mix: a saturation control for analog colour and dry/wet for parallel EQ.
- Gain compensation: automatic gain compensation for level-matched comparisons.
- Channel modes: mono, stereo, mid/side and surround processing up to 8 channels, with a GPU-accelerated interface.

When to use it
MTurboEQ suits quickly auditioning many vintage EQ colours with one set of controls. Compared with the Pultec Passive EQ Collection or PuigTec EQs, it trades the depth of one modelled unit for breadth across 12 styles, and adds mid/side, surround and dry/wet that those plugins lack. Unlike Pro-Q 4 or TDR Nova, it has no dynamic bands or precise analyser-led workflow; it is a tone tool rather than a surgical one. It also costs more than buying a single favourite vintage EQ.
- Best for: broad analog-style tone shaping on vocals, drums, buses and masters, and comparing EQ characters at matched level.
- Genres: any style.
- Look elsewhere if: you need surgical or dynamic EQ (Pro-Q 4, TDR Nova) or want one hardware unit modelled closely (Pultec Passive EQ Collection, Manley Massive Passive EQ).
- Tip: the developer suggests the stepped mode (fixed steps such as 1 dB) to make decisions faster and keep EQ moves subtle.
