What it does
MTremolo is MeldaProduction's free tremolo, described as "a definitive adjustable shape tremolo". It is a volume modulator whose oscillator gives far more control over the wave shape than a basic tremolo.
- Oscillator shapes: predefined shapes, custom waveforms drawn with the MeldaProduction Envelope System, step-sequencer patterns and algorithmic post-processing.
- Harmonic mode: shape the oscillator by its harmonic content instead of drawing a waveform, which the developer says helps at high rates.
- Host sync: the rate can lock to the project tempo or run free.
- Channel modes: mono, stereo, mid/side, left or right only, surround up to 8 channels and ambisonics up to 64 channels.
- Safety and level: automatic gain compensation for browsing presets at matched loudness, and a safety limiter that stops the output going over 0 dB.
- Presets and comparison: global preset management with online exchange, A-H slots and A-D morphing between settings, plus multiparameters for automation.
MTremolo is free and is part of MeldaProduction's MFreeFXBundle. MeldaProduction promises free updates for life. A multiband version, MTremoloMB, is sold separately.

When to use it
MTremolo is a free tremolo that still gives you custom and step-sequenced shapes, which many free tremolos lack. Compared with Xfer LFO Tool, it covers similar volume-shaping ground with drawn or step shapes, but it doesn't modulate filters or panning in the same window. Compared with Cableguys ShaperBox 3, it has no multiband split or other shaper types, so it is a single-purpose tool rather than a movement workstation. Its surround and ambisonics modes are unusual for a free plugin.
- Best for: classic tremolo on guitars and electric piano, rhythmic pulsing on pads, and tempo-synced gating patterns.
- Genres: any style.
- Look elsewhere if: you want tremolo by frequency band or several shapers at once; MTremoloMB or ShaperBox 3 go further.
