MDrumCleaner removes bleed from multi-miked drum recordings, using five algorithms that work alone or together.
Two of the algorithms run with zero latency for live use; it lists at $170 and was on sale for $33.
Best for: Drums, Drum Bus. Genres: Rock & Indie, Metal, Pop, Jazz, Acoustic & Classical.

What it does
MDrumCleaner is MeldaProduction's drum bleed remover, billed as "the ultimate drum bleed treatment". It puts five cleanup algorithms in one plugin for cymbal spill and other leakage on close-miked drum tracks.
- Cymbal Killer: the classic trick of a high-cut filter that opens the top end only when the drum is hit, to remove hi-hat and cymbal spill.
- Side-chain Remover: a spectral module that analyzes a separately recorded source of bleed, such as the hi-hat track, and removes it from the target track.
- Spectrum Cleaner: learns the drum's acoustic fingerprint and removes anything outside it.
- Spectrum Gate: removes frequencies that are too quiet, since the close-miked drum is nearly always louder than the bleed.
- Gate: an advanced gate tuned for drum transients, for classic cleanup.
- Live use: Cymbal Killer and Gate run with zero latency; the three spectral modules add latency.

When to use it
MDrumCleaner is the pick when one method of bleed removal isn't enough, since you can combine filter, gate and spectral approaches on the same track. Compared with Pro-G or Oxford Drum Gate 2, it adds spectral modules that can remove spill under the drum hits, not just between them. Compared with DeBleed:Drums, it gives you several separate algorithms to choose and blend rather than one dedicated process. At its introductory price it also undercuts most dedicated bleed tools, though it is new and not yet widely reviewed.
- Best for: cleaning kick, snare and tom close mics before compression, triggering or drum replacement.
- Genres: rock, metal, pop, jazz and any music with live acoustic drums.
- Look elsewhere if: you only need a basic gate (Pro-G is quicker to set up) or zero-latency spectral cleanup for live use.
