What it does
MAutopanMB is MeldaProduction's multiband auto-panner. It splits the signal into frequency bands and moves each one around the stereo field on its own, which Melda calls the cure for audio that needs to be "more spatial and less static."
- Up to 6 bands: the signal is divided by crossovers with custom shapes, and each band gets its own panning movement.
- Oscillator shapes: a very wide choice of modulation shapes per band, well beyond the usual sine, triangle and square.
- Modulation sources: an LFO, an audio level follower, an envelope generator, a randomizer and a pitch detector, so the panning can follow the music instead of a fixed cycle.
- Simple mode: a few knobs and a set of presets for fast results.
- Edit mode: full access to the bands, crossovers and modulators for detailed sound design.
- Presets: dozens of factory presets aimed at keyboards, guitars and other mono sources.
A free trial is available. A single-band version, MAutopan, is also available.

When to use it
MAutopanMB is the pick when you want panning that differs by frequency range, for example a steady low end with a moving top. Compared with ShaperBox 3, whose Pan Shaper moves the whole signal through drawn shapes, it splits the audio into up to 6 bands and can drive each from a level follower or pitch detector as well as an LFO. LFO Tool and Duck 2 are faster for tempo-synced volume and pumping effects, but they don't offer this kind of per-band stereo movement. Next to Output's Movement it is drier and more surgical, with no built-in effects, and much cheaper.
- Best for: widening mono keys and guitars, adding slow stereo motion to pads, and rhythmic or signal-driven panning in sound design.
- Genres: electronic, ambient, pop and cinematic sound design.
- Look elsewhere if: you only need simple full-band panning (the single-band MAutopan), drawn tempo-synced shapes on several parameters at once (ShaperBox 3), or ready-made rhythmic effects (Movement).
