What it does

NF575 is a noise filter for removing hum, buzz and other unwanted tones.

Filters: high-pass and low-pass filters with slopes up to 36 dB/octave.
Notches: five linkable notch bands for cyclical noise such as hum and its harmonics.
Display: real-time analyser for finding the offending frequencies.
Practical: zero latency, double precision, mono and stereo versions.

When to use it

A precise, manual tool for mains hum, buzz and similar steady tones on location recordings, dialog or old sources. It removes tones by notching rather than learning a noise profile, so broadband noise (hiss) needs a different tool.
