What it does
The 6060 is McDSP's largest modular processor, with more than 30 modules that can be chained in any order.
- Modules: EQ, compression, saturation, distortion, filtering, gating and expansion.
- Routing: drag-and-drop arrangement and a split mode for parallel processing on two paths.
- Compression: feedback and feedforward modes, a negative compression mode and side-chain input on compressor modules.
- Practical: zero latency, double precision, mono and stereo versions.
The current version is v7.
When to use it
The all-in-one option for people who like building their own chains inside one plugin. It goes further than the 6050 Ultimate Channel Strip with more modules and parallel routing, at the cost of a bigger learning curve. It suits mixing on any source; people who want one focused tool will find the single-purpose McDSP plugins simpler.
