What it does

Prodigy is Martinic's ACE-modelled version of Moog's 1979 Prodigy, the company's low-cost two-oscillator monosynth. The developer describes it as "faithfully recreated and expanded", with a sequencer, poly modes and modern MIDI added to the original panel.

Version 1.0.0 (2026).

When to use it

Prodigy suits players who want a small, direct Moog mono with a few modern conveniences. Compared with Arturia Mini V or UAD's Minimoog, it has one oscillator fewer and a simpler panel, but adds a built-in 16-step sequencer, poly and unison modes and a lower price. It is far narrower than Diva, which covers many analog filter and oscillator models, but quicker for a classic Moog bass or sync lead. TAL-BassLine-101 is a similar-priced choice if you prefer a Roland mono's tone.

What producers say

Early users like the character and the added sequencer, though one hardware owner found it a little tamer than the original.
