What it does
Grains is a real-time granular effect for shimmering clouds, glitchy percussive grooves and rhythmic soundscapes.
- Controls: density, grain size, pitch, arpeggiation, cloud delay and randomised motion.
- Visualiser: shows what the grains are doing.
- In BEAM: up to 3 Grains nodes can run in series or in parallel; BEAM owners already have it.
- Presets: 50 presets by sound designers including Databroth.

When to use it
Use Grains to turn any sound into a cloud of grains, whether that's a pad, a vocal or a loop. It's cheaper than BEAM if granular is all you need.
