What it does

Gleam is a modal resonator synth made with Rainbow Circuit for the NOVA platform. It pairs modal synthesis with recordings of real materials.

Sound sources: a modal synthesis engine with material algorithms, layered with foley and samples of ceramics, glass, water and wood.
Arpeggiator: a creative arpeggiator with a "ricochet" visualisation.
Effects: reverb built on a feedback delay network, plus chorus.
Presets: 20 presets from Virtual Riot, Alckemy, Databroth and Lunacy.

When to use it

Gleam is for glassy, wooden, metallic and watery tones that are playable and pitched, at a low price. It fits atmospheric music, ambient, lo-fi and film textures better than bass or lead work.

You can try it in the browser through NOVA first.
