Seventh Heaven Professional
by LiquidSonics · Reverb · Fusion-IR (Bricasti M7)
vst3s Score 8.9/10 · rated #4 of 10 reverbs
Brings the Bricasti M7 hardware reverb to plug-in form using LiquidSonics' Fusion-IR technology, which tracks how the reverb evolves from early reflections into the tail rather than freezing one snapshot.
The Professional version adds over 230 multi-sampled presets, 32 early-reflection patterns, surround support, ducking and a five-band EQ.
Best for: Vocals, Drums, Acoustic Instruments, Keys & Synths. Genres: Pop, R&B & Soul, Hip-Hop & Trap, Jazz, Acoustic & Classical.
Keywords: impulse-response based, ducking, vocals, clean, algorithmic, room, convolution, digital classic, film & game audio, hardware emulation, orchestra, strings, advanced, drums, evolving, external sidechain, mixing, non-linear, piano.
What it does
Seventh Heaven Professional is LiquidSonics' recreation of the Bricasti M7 hardware reverb. It uses Fusion-IR, a modulated convolution technology built around the M7, to capture the real unit's sound while keeping the editing you'd expect from an algorithmic reverb.
- Presets: over 236 multi-sampled Fusion-IR presets, covering all the M7's v1 (148) and v2 (70) algorithm presets plus 18 nonlinear and interior room presets.
- Early reflections: 32 distinct early reflection patterns that can be swapped freely under any tail.
- EQ and decay: M7-style roll-off filters, frequency-dependent decay time, high-pass and high-cut filters, and a 5-band post-EQ.
- Ducking: a ducker with an optional external trigger to keep the reverb out of the way while the source plays.
- Surround: mono, stereo, quad, 5.x and 7.x up to 9.1.6 Atmos, with decorrelated responses so it folds down cleanly.
- vs. the standard edition: the cheaper Seventh Heaven has fewer presets and controls; Professional adds the full preset set, ER patterns, the EQ, ducking and surround.
Demo licences are available. The current version is 1.5.9 (November 2025).

When to use it
Seventh Heaven Professional is the pick for realism and polish: the Bricasti M7's halls, plates and rooms are smooth, deep and natural, and it's hard to make them sound bad. Compared with Pro-R 2 or Valhalla Room it's less about building a space from scratch and more about choosing a great one and trimming it. VintageVerb and LX480 have more obvious vintage-digital character, VerbSuite Classics uses the same Fusion-IR idea across several classic units, and Altiverb captures real rooms rather than one hardware box.
- Best for: vocals, strings, piano, acoustic instruments and orchestral or film mixes where the reverb should sound expensive and not draw attention to itself; also surround and Atmos work.
- Genres: orchestral and film score, pop and ballads, jazz, acoustic, singer-songwriter.
- Look elsewhere if: you want lo-fi, grainy or obviously artificial effects (Blackhole, Supermassive, VintageVerb).
- Standout: the preset list is organised like the hardware, so M7 users can find their usual programs.
What producers say
Reviewers agree it sounds like the M7 and feels like an algorithmic reverb, despite being convolution-based.
- Sound On Sound (Sam Inglis) called it a very impressive recreation of the M7 and said it's hard to get a bad sound from it; the downside was that it has no "trashy" character sounds.
- MusicRadar said it nails the Bricasti sound in a plugin that feels surprisingly algorithmic and responsive; a minor gripe was that the advanced controls and master EQ can't be seen at the same time.
- Mix (Rich Tozzoli) praised the deep, clean sound, especially on strings and percussion, and its multichannel support.
