What it does
The SBC is a stereo bus compressor inspired by the API 2500.
- Compression: selectable ratio, attack and release, with soft, medium or hard knee.
- Modes: feedforward or feedback.
- Sidechain: filter with low cut and high boost.
- SMASH: a hyper-compression mode.
- Also: variable left/right link and auto or manual makeup gain.

When to use it
The SBC is for adding punch and glue to drum buses and mixes with a fast, assertive character. Compared with the rated Waves SSL G-Master and Cytomic The Glue, the SBC is more aggressive, with the SMASH mode for rock and metal.
