What it does
The 50 Series is a channel strip modelled on API-style American consoles and 500-series units, built on Brainworx's Tolerance Modeling Technology.
- Channel variation: 72 TMT channel emulations, mimicking the small differences between real console channels.
- EQs: three switchable types: the 50A (3-band semi-parametric), the 50B (4-band) and the 60 (graphic).
- Dynamics: a VCA compressor modelled on the API 2500 and a Lindell-designed FET compressor, plus a gate/expander.
- Colour: continuously variable THD and Virtual Gain controls.

When to use it
The 50 Series is a whole channel in one plugin: EQ, compression and gating with a punchy American console flavour. It suits people who want to build a mix on strips rather than pick separate plugins.
- Best for: drums, guitars, bass and vocals in rock, pop and hip-hop mixes.
- Compare: unlike the same developer's 69 Series and 80 Series, which are British-flavoured strips, it has an American flavour.
Where to buy
- Plugin Alliance: $175
