What it does

Kratos 2 is a look-ahead brickwall limiter and loudness maximizer for mastering and mix buses. Kuassa aims for transparent limiting.

Main controls: Maximize (loudness) and Texture (smooth or harder character).
Dynamics: Attack and Release with an adaptive option, Knee and Ceiling.
Extras: up to 4x oversampling, three dithering options with adjustable bit depth, a latency compensation toggle and support up to 96 kHz.

When to use it

A simple, low-cost mastering limiter with a friendly one-knob approach. It doesn't offer the metering and options of FabFilter Pro-L 2 or Ozone's Maximizer, but covers the basics for demos, home masters and bus limiting. Version 2 is an update of the original Kratos.
