What it does

EVE-MP5 combines Pultec MEQ-5 and EQP-1A style equalization in one compact interface, according to Kuassa.

Workflow: colour-coded knobs and a straightforward layout.
Saturation: an input-path saturation unit with automatic level compensation (Auto gain switch).
Low end: boost and attenuate at the same time on low frequencies.
Curve: a Pultec-style filter curve.

When to use it

A cheaper way to get the Pultec approach of broad, smooth boosts, with a mid-range section as well as the low and high shelves. It is less authentic than the emulations in UA's Pultec collection and Waves PuigTec in the rated EQ list. Works on vocals, mix bus, guitars and drums.
