Efektor Grandmaster Distortion by Kuassa

Distortion pedal plugin from Kuassa's Efektor stompbox series, designed for guitar and other sources.

Best for: Guitars, Keys & Synths. Genres: Rock & Indie, Metal.

Keywords: electric guitar, bass, overdrive, classic, creamy, hardware emulation, built-in mix knob, mixing, oversampling, resizable UI, single-band, synths.

What it does

Grandmaster Distortion emulates three classic British overdrive and distortion pedals, which Kuassa names as the Drivemaster, Guv'nor and ShredMaster.

Three types: Drive (creamy overdrive), Gvnr (versatile distortion) and Shred (lead distortion).
Controls: Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble and Volume, plus a Dry/Wet blend.
Quality: up to 8x oversampling and a resizable single-screen interface.

When to use it

Three British-flavoured distortion characters in one plugin, with a full three-band tone stack. It's more focused on rock and metal guitar than the OD3603 overdrive or the fuzz plugins. Also handy for bass and for roughing up synths or drums, though for general-purpose mix distortion the rated distortion plugins are more flexible.
