Efektor Bass Smasher Distortion by Kuassa

Bass distortion pedal plugin from Kuassa's Efektor stompbox series, designed for bass guitar.

Best for: Bass. Genres: Rock & Indie, Metal.

Keywords: bass, built-in mix knob, overdrive, oversampling, single-band, thick.

What it does

Bass Smasher is a bass distortion pedal that Kuassa describes as covering chunky overdrive, thick distortion and a muff-like sustained, woolly sound while keeping the low end.

Interface: one screen with no hidden functions, in a resizable window.
Mix and quality: dry/wet knob and up to 8x oversampling.

It works as an Amplifikation 360 module. It is also sold in a Bass Distortion Bundle with two other Efektor bass pedals.

When to use it

The heaviest of Kuassa's three Efektor bass pedals. It suits rock, metal and punk bass, and the dry/wet control makes it easy to blend a fuzzy layer under a clean DI.
