What it does
Caliburn is a guitar amp plugin inspired by Marshall amps, aimed at "British crunch".
- Amps: three types inspired by the JTM45, JCM800 and JCM900, each with Clean and Lead channels.
- Speakers and mics: five cabinets with Celestion speakers and seven microphone types, with dual-miking in mono or stereo.
- Power amp: Sag and Bias controls.
- Extras: noise gate, limiter, high/low-pass filters and up to 8x oversampling.
It also loads as a module in Amplifikation 360.
When to use it
The Kuassa choice for classic British rock and hard rock crunch, from JTM45-style warmth to JCM900-style bite. It is further from American-style high-gain metal than Rectifor, and less suited to chiming cleans and edge-of-breakup than Lancaster.
Suits rock, hard rock and classic metal.
