SyndtSphere by Klevgrand

SyndtSphere is a "sound surfer" synth from Klevgrand: you move around a globe to browse and blend between more than 70 presets.

It adds a ping-pong delay, glide and legato, and is free with a Klevgrand account.

Best for: Keys & Synths, Sound Design. Genres: Electronic & EDM, Ambient & Cinematic.

Keywords: free, monophonic, sound design, cinematic, leads, pads, polyphonic, randomize.

What it does

SyndtSphere is Klevgrand's "Sound Surfer Synth", a polyphonic synth built around a sphere instead of a page of knobs. Presets sit as points on the globe, and the sound morphs as you move between them, based on how close you are to each preset.

The current version is 2.0.1. The desktop version is free.

When to use it

SyndtSphere is a free, playful synth for finding sounds by exploring rather than programming. Compared with Vital, which is also free, it gives up almost all sound-design control in exchange for an interface you understand in seconds. Next to Pigments 7 or Omnisphere 3 it is a toy in scope, with one fixed set of states and no oscillators or modulation to edit. It suits beginners, quick sketching, and anyone curious to try a Klevgrand instrument at no cost.

What producers say

The single user review on KVR likes the idea and the interface but finds the sounds too similar.
