Brusfri by Klevgrand

A simple noise reducer built from several frequency-split expanders rather than FFT processing, so it avoids phasey artefacts. You press Learn on a section of noise, then set the amount.

It is used on noisy vocals, guitar amps, field recordings and voice-overs. It also runs on iPad and iPhone.

Best for: Vocals, Guitars, Acoustic Instruments. Genres: all genres.

Keywords: downward expansion, repair, vocals, electric guitar, AUv3/iOS, field recordings, multi-band, corrective, dialogue, mixing, podcast, simple.

What it does

Brusfri is a noise reducer made of several frequency-split expanders working together.

When to use it

A quick, clean way to take steady hiss or hum off a vocal, guitar or field recording, closer in spirit to Waves Z-Noise or NS1 than to AI tools. It won't remove reverb or complex background sounds; for those, look at the Clarity Vx plugins or RX 12.
