What it does
Ring Mod multiplies the input with a second signal, taken from an internal sine or noise generator or from a secondary input.
- Frequency and Modulator: oscillator pitch or noise filter cutoff, and the source of the modulator.
- Bias and Rectify: add a positive bias to the modulator or rectify it.
- Spread: shifts frequency between channels for a stereo effect.
- Mix: dry/wet control.
It's free and works as a plugin or a Snapin.

When to use it
Use it for bell-like, metallic and robotic tones, or with an external modulator for cross-modulation effects. It is related to Kilohearts' Frequency Shifter, which is the simpler option. Suits sound design, electronic and experimental music.
