What it does

Pitch Shifter is a free harmonic pitch shifter that uses grain-delay technology to move the input up or down.

Pitch: set in semitones.
Grain Size and Jitter: grain length and a randomness control.
Correlate: an algorithm option for clearer results (Jitter is unavailable when it's on).
Mix: dry/wet control.

It's free and works as a plugin or a Snapin.

When to use it

A basic shifter for octave layers, detune thickening and effects on synths, drums and vocals. Grain-based shifting is not a formant-preserving vocal tool, so for tuning or vocal character use the plugins in the pitch category, such as Little AlterBoy.
